Senior Mechanical Engineer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Sydney-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work on local and national building projects, expand your design skills across other market sectors, and contribute to a highly innovative and collaborative team environment.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience within an Australian building services consulting engineering practice, a comprehensive knowledge of relevant Australia Standards and Building Code of Australia, and excellent time management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

This position requires proficiency with mechanical design packages such as CAMEL and registration as a Building Practitioner/Professional Engineer or Engineers Australia chartership would be advantageous. Additionally, understanding and modeling capability using Revit MEP, NavisWorks, and BIM would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing mechanical engineering design documentation from concept to tender and construction phase
  • Collaborating with other design teams and engineering disciplines
  • Assisting in delivering project-related tasks to meet quality targets
  • Interfacing with relevant authorities and project stakeholders
  • Attending inspections and collaborating with trade contractors
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Building Services Engineering)
  • Extensive experience within an Australian building services consulting engineering practice
  • Well-versed across a range of building sectors
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Australia Standards and Building Code of Australia
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
