Job Overview

The Integration and Transverse Engineering Manager will provide technical assurance for various engineering design specialties across the ship. This includes complex integration, vulnerability, survivability, maritime aviation, and physical security.

This role requires collaboration with a multi-discipline team to lead specialists and expand knowledge in domains beyond core competencies. Stakeholders within Defence and industry partners will be engaged on complex subjects at both detailed technical and executive levels.

This position is part of the Hunter Class Frigate project, which provides a foundation for Continuous Naval Shipbuilding in Australia. The project involves experts from the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe to deliver six frigates optimized for anti-submarine warfare to the Royal Australian Navy.

The successful candidate should have a strong background in Systems Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering, with experience in system integration in maritime or similarly complex systems. They should be able to maintain professional relationships with stakeholders, work collaboratively, and mentor junior staff.
