This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Safety Professional to join our client, a reputable Civil Contractor, as a HSE Advisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing risk-based safety strategies, providing regular safety advice and direction to site staff, and managing the safety system and associated reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and continuously enhance the safety culture through the delivery of risk-based safety strategies;
- Provide regular safety advice and direction to site staff;
- Manage the safety system and associated reporting;
- Design, manage and implement risk-based strategies, including on-going improvement of task observation tools, techniques and methodologies.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in OH&S or similar;
- Proven leadership skills which will enable you to inspire and actively promote a safe workplace culture;
- 5+ years of industry experience as a safety professional in civil construction;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- A strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
