Job Title: HSE Advisor

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our Project Delivery Team in Brisbane, QLD. As the HSE Advisor, you will support the site through the provision of consultation, advice, and delivery of HSE activities that facilitate the Project team to deliver on HSE outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project meetings to ensure HSE compliance
  • Provide guidance and training on systems compliance to ensure a safe working environment
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Collaborate with the team to implement suitable actions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with WHS best practices and legislative requirements
  • Coordinate and oversee incident management to minimize downtime and ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist in site management activities as required to ensure a smooth and efficient project delivery
  • Facilitate training and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety and well-being
  • Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • A minimum Cert IV OHS qualification
  • Prior experience in a safety-focused role within the construction industry, preferably within the Industrial sector
  • Proficiency with automated safety management systems such as 1 Bread Crumb, Hammertech, etc.
  • Working knowledge of WHS best practices and legislative requirements
  • An effective communicator and relationship builder
  • An understanding of how to drive, develop, and maintain safety behaviors
