Job Overview

We are seeking a Retail Nursery Worker to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who loves plants, enjoys engaging with customers, and has the ability to lift over 35kilos.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers with plant selection, gardening advice, and product information.
  • Provide tailored recommendations on plant care, soil, pots, and garden solutions.
  • Process sales efficiently at the point of sale system.
  • Merchandise plants, pots, and garden products to create attractive, shopable displays.
  • Assist with stock rotation, unpacking deliveries, and restocking shelves.
  • Maintain accurate pricing and product signage.
  • Lift heavy items as required.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for plants, gardening, and outdoor living.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically active role (lifting, bending, standing).
  • Attention to detail in plant care and merchandising.
  • Previous retail, hospitality, or nursery/garden experience desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, gardening, or willingness to learn on the job.
