Aviation Protection Officer Role Overview:

This is a critical position that requires a high level of integrity and responsibility. As an Aviation Protection Officer, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, and baggage.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough screening of passengers, staff, and baggage to ensure compliance with aviation security regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting passengers with a professional demeanor.
  • Monitor security checkpoints and oversee traffic flow to ensure proper procedures are followed at all times.
  • Perform frisk and bag searches, generate incident reports, patrol the premises, and control access to sensitive areas.
  • Operate security technology, including metal detectors and X-ray machines.
Essential Requirements:
  • NSW Security License
  • Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) clearance or ability to obtain
  • Certificate II in Transport Security Protection (TSP) & Certificate II in Security Operations
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Current Driver license
  • Ability to multitask efficiently, maintain strong customer service skills, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings, national police checks, and medical assessments.
