The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading, directing and managing the supply chain to maximize revenue and profitability, achieve service levels, and operate at cost-effective levels.

In this role, you will provide leadership, direction, and support to managers and staff; ensure all agreed cost and service levels are reached and maintained.

Within this context, the Director of Supply Chain includes Manufacturing, Logistics, and Warehousing, contributing to the strategic intent by working with key stakeholders to develop and implement relevant products and services in line with corporate objectives and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Effective Leadership
  • Provide effective leadership to the Supply Chain team by providing clear strategy and guidelines that focus on resource utilization and business efficiency.
  • Prioritize activities across the Supply Chain to improve efficiency and effectiveness of activities, projects, and issues to focus upon.
  • Add value to the organization through participation in resource allocation and decisions affecting operations.
  • Develop, monitor, and optimize staff performance using performance management tools and techniques to ensure performance targets are achieved.
  • Process Management
  • Continuously review and consider improvements in process delivery and customer relationship achievement.
  • Manage and analyze processes to identify improvements and streamline service delivery.
  • Oversee equipment and building purchases and leasing for the Supply Chain.
  • Safety, Environmental, and CoR compliance across the Supply Chain.
  • Financial Performance
  • Assist in achieving set financial targets for revenue, profitability, and cost management within budget.
  • Participate actively in achieving corporate strategy and goals.
  • Ensure operational staff engagement and empowerment of business unit direction.
  • Deliver or exceed financial targets set for revenue and manage within allocated expenditure.

Primary Interactions - Internal and External

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communicate key business information and strategic change initiatives to internal and external customers and staff.
