Expert Corporate Bookkeeper

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Bookkeeper to join our Melbourne team, providing expert corporate bookkeeping services and guidance to a dedicated portfolio of clients across diverse industries.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver insightful financial reports, including management reports, cash flow analysis, and budget reporting, ensuring timely delivery and quality results.
- Oversee bookkeeping tasks from setup to completion, guaranteeing all requirements are met within scope and on time.
- Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and best practices, providing clients with the assurance that their accounts are in expert hands.
- Lead client engagements with professionalism and efficiency, serving as a reliable point of contact for all client needs.
- Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring seamless transaction handling.
- Manage payroll processes, including payroll tax, Workcover requirements, superannuation guarantee payments, and termination payments as needed.
- Prepare reconciliations for bank accounts, debtors, creditors, wages, payroll tax, and PAYG, maintaining accurate records.
- Complete monthly compliance obligations, including Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
- Provide ongoing support and training to clients in maintaining their accounts, fostering strong relationships.
- Review the work of junior team members, offering guidance and training opportunities.
- A recognised bookkeeping degree or course, combined with at least 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Demonstrated expertise in management reporting and analysis, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Strong organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong client relationships and leading client-facing engagements.
- Proficiency in accounting software, such as Myob, Xero, or Sage, and Microsoft Office suite.
- A willingness to travel to clients when required, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.
