Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced geologist to contribute to our exploration and resource development efforts.

The Role
  • Analyse mineral systems concepts, Eastern Goldfields tectono-thermal history, and gold mineralisation analogues to formulate conceptual models.
  • Evaluate data collection methods to test hypotheses and determine scale-relevant criteria for prospectivity.
  • Compile and evaluate geoscientific data including surface and drilling samples, remote sensing, geophysical, and geochemical data.
  • Integrate data to form geological maps combining regolith, stratigraphy, structure, and alteration.
  • Participate in target ranking workshops and populate the exploration pipeline.
  • Collaborate with senior geologists to deliver peer-reviewed geological assessments, targeting, ranking, and program proposal processes.
  • Plan and execute project work and field programs, ensuring timely completion of reporting requirements.
  • Assist with day-to-day management of drill contractors, monitoring rig sampling practices, and ensuring diamond core, RC, and RAB sampling meet company standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of concise geological and departmental reporting.
  • Contribute to the management of department human resources during exploration and resource drilling programs.
  • Attend and chair meetings as required.
  • Mentor geologists and technicians to ensure activities meet high technical standards.
About You

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Geology.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in GIS software, preferably QGIS, Leapfrog, with exposure to exploration geostatistical packages (ioGAS or others).
  • Understanding of Eastern Goldfields geology and Archaean gold lode systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in initiating and testing novel geological theories.
  • Solid knowledge of exploration concepts and techniques.
  • Understanding of mining and exploration tenements, administration, and occupational health and safety.
  • Concise and efficient report writing and other geological documentation.
  • Class C WA manual driver's licence.
