About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for forecasting gas peak demand and consumption for energy consumers in the East Coast and West Coast gas markets. This involves considering the energy market transition and the forecast challenges that may arise across various alternative development futures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement on the Gas Statement of Opportunities and Integrated System Plan.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of Departmental and Divisional Strategies and Plans.
  • Working closely with the Group Manager to manage current budgets and set future budgets.
  • Modelling, reporting, and stakeholder engagement on the GSOO and Integrated System Plan.
  • Championing sound people management practices within the team.
  • Participating in the identification, reporting, assessment, and management of risk.

Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline, such as operations, economics, statistics, data science, mathematics, or engineering.
  • Significant industry or related experience in gas systems at a management level in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Experience in forecasting the future role of gas and the emerging opportunities provided by renewable gas and electrification.
  • Detailed knowledge of the political, legal, and regulatory framework in which the energy industry operates.
