About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Scientist/Team Leader to join our contaminated sites team in Perth, Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop your career while working with a great team of environmental engineers, scientists, geologists, hydrologists, and hydrogeologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage field investigation programs and review laboratory data to inform remedial and/or management requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports for contamination and acid sulfate soils.
  • Assist in HazMat surveys and clearance inspections, and develop HazMat management plans.
  • Develop human health and ecological risk assessments.
  • Conceive, design, and manage large projects.
  • Evaluate and analyze field and technical data.
  • Present independent studies, analysis, interpretations, conclusions, and decisions.
  • Coordinate work programs and project resources.
  • Liaise with clients and regulators.
  • Mentor and coach junior scientists.
About You

The successful candidate will be a tertiary-qualified environmental or earth scientist with 10+ years of experience in contaminated sites remediation. You will have a sound working knowledge of NEPM 2013, HEPA 2020, DWER 2021, and DoH 2021 guidance, as well as experience with acid sulfate soils and HazMat audits and removals supervision.
