About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at Michael Page Australia. As an Accounts Supervisor, you will have direct oversight of transactional processing means, including AP/AR, banking, payroll and other ad-hoc duties to assist the Finance Manager or Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Revenue Invoicing and Processing: Oversee the management of revenue invoicing and processing credit payments, including overseas customers.
  • Provide Reporting on Outstanding Debtors: Provide regular reporting on outstanding debtors to ensure timely payment.
  • Daily Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily bank reconciliations and oversee all banking requirements.
  • Manage Monthly Reconciliations: Manage monthly reconciliations, including GL, Debtor and credit reconciliations.
  • Assist with Financial Reporting: Assist with monthly and end of financial year reporting, including the preparation of BAS and PAYG returns.
  • Process Payroll: Process monthly and fortnightly payroll, including management of HR elements as required.
  • Maintain Employee Files and Payroll Systems: Maintain accurate employee files and payroll systems.
  • Manage and Coach Junior Staff: Manage and coach a junior staff member to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications (diploma or degree) are highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of End-to-End Payroll Processing: Knowledge of end-to-end payroll processing is essential.
  • Experience with Accounting and Payroll Systems: Experience with accounting and payroll systems, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to identify and solve problems independently.
  • Willingness to Learn: Willingness to learn and adapt in an evolving business environment.
