Job Summary:
The Support Data Engineer is a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of MUFG Retirement solutions business client and internal reporting systems. This position requires a skilled problem solver who can adapt to new systems, work efficiently under pressure, and balance quick wins and long-term strategic interventions.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate and resolve high-impact issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure the ongoing operation of Data and Analytics reporting systems.
- Diagnose technical problems, develop solutions, and document investigations and solutions.
- Experience creating and working with Knowledge Base documentation.
- Strong foundation in troubleshooting and ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
- On-call support 24x7 on a rostered basis.
- Ability to act as a good team player and mentor colleagues.
- Consistently follow MUFG's policies and procedures.
- 5+ years of experience as a Data/Analytics Engineer with AWS/Snowflake.
- 1-2 years of experience with Database Techniques and tools.
- Proficient in using Snowflake's features such as Snowpipes, Streams, and Tasks.
- Strong programming skills in SQL and Python.
- Solid understanding and working knowledge of Data Warehousing and data management processes and concepts.
- Ability to create and maintain process documentation that is easy to follow.
- Cloud data migration experience within large organizations, desirable.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery methodology and ability to adapt to change.
