Job Responsibilities
  • Perform timely review and verification of coding information for radiology charges.
  • Implement and perform all corrections of coding information according to regulations and guidelines established by policy.
  • Serve as department and hospital resource for verification of radiology charges and script information.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • High school level course work in English Grammar, Composition, and Basic Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of Radiology Procedures, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
  • Ability to use a computer in an office setting and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Medical terminology required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPC certification (Certified Professional Coder).
  • Experience in medical billing and coding.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
