About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional information and support services to clients, exercising independent judgment and advocating on their behalf when necessary.

Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality services, maintaining accurate records and adhering to professional standards.

  • Deliver evidence-based support to clients, prioritizing their needs and well-being.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Bachelor degree in social work or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience, with expertise in crisis intervention and clinical assessment.
  • Extensive knowledge and recent experience in provision of embedded/situational counselling and support in grief, loss, and trauma.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and advocate for clients in complex situations.
  • High-level oral and written communication skills, including an understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate clinical notes.
  • Recent experience working in a deceased environment and demonstrated ability to facilitate viewings and provide support to relatives and friends.
  • Willingness to participate in an on-call roster and occasional out-of-hours service, holding a current NSW drivers license.
