Job Title: Clinical Educator - Simulation and Skills
About the RoleThis is a senior position for a clinical educator in the field of simulation and skills training. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and delivering clinical skills training and simulation activities within high- and low-fidelity learning environments.
The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in teaching and education. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of industry or experience in work-integrated learning and simulation delivery methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver clinical skills training and simulation activities within high-and low-fidelity learning environments.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of educational innovations as part of the clinical teaching staff.
- Work closely with other educators and clinicians to design and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated knowledge and experience in practical teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate level. They will also have a high level of experience in the development and delivery of skills teaching and simulated learning in healthcare settings.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualification in a relevant health discipline and maintenance of currency in registration from a relevant authority.
- Actively stay up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in simulation and scenario-based learning equipment, software and task trainers, simulated patients, and clinical skills training methods in health education.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and simulation delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry or experience of work-integrated learning (desirable).
