About the Clinical Products Advisor Role

The Clinical Products Advisor plays a pivotal role in providing clinical and professional support to key stakeholders within the organization. This position involves evaluating new and existing clinical products to ensure that stakeholders receive the best-valued clinical products and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inquiries regarding clinical stock, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Provide written notifications on product substitutions and alternatives, outlining benefits and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with departments to investigate clinical consumable product faults/recalls, maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Evaluate new and existing contracts for clinical and cost effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance, making informed decisions.
  • Review contracts to ensure compliance and identify alternative products where necessary, streamlining procurement processes.
  • Participate in health share product reference groups as required, staying up-to-date on industry developments.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in a clinical discipline, supported by extensive clinical experience.
  • Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body, demonstrating expertise and commitment.
  • Experience in procurement and supply chain practices, supplier engagement, and negotiation.
  • Proven experience in a similar Clinical Products Advisor role, showcasing leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Clinical experience in the acute health sector, understanding complex healthcare environments.
  • A Victorian drivers license, enabling travel to various locations within the organization.
