Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Assessment Officer to play a crucial role in evaluating landscaping plans related to Development Applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and constructing landscape projects in complex urban environments and possess excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in design review, detailed design, and construction of landscape projects of various sizes in highly urbanised areas.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in landscape design and construction regarding sustainability, materials, buildability, compliance, detailing, safety, and quality.
  • Demonstrated experience in arboriculture/landscape in residential buildings, commercial, and institutional buildings, planting on structure and green roofs.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills, including the ability to conceive and communicate creative solutions to problems, clearly communicate complex issues in plain English, interact with various stakeholders, disciplines, and staff, and negotiate on complex and sensitive issues.
  • Current Class C Driver's License.
  • Diploma in horticulture, arboriculture, or landscaping or related field, and/or relevant experience in arboriculture/landscaping.
