About the Role

The Regional Operations team is responsible for administering the Work, Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) through prevention, compliance, and enforcement activities. As a WHS Inspector, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders, including employers, workers, and government agencies, to identify and address work health and safety risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify work health and safety risks and non-compliance with legislation
  • Provide guidance and advice to employers and workers on work health and safety matters
  • Develop and implement prevention programs and campaigns to promote work health and safety
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve disputes and address work health and safety issues
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve work health and safety outcomes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection) or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
