Job Title: People and Capability Business Partner

We are seeking a skilled business partner to join our team and provide specialist advice and support to our leadership group in a dynamic and child-safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver insights to enhance people-related business performance and implement initiatives that drive capability and retention.
  • Work closely with the State General Manager as a trusted and proactive business partner.
  • Provide professional HR advice aligned with relevant policies and awards.
  • Coach and support leaders in workplace investigations, including child-safe compliance matters.
  • Design and implement retention initiatives to address sector-specific turnover challenges.
  • Support leadership capability development through coaching and leveraging centralized L&D programs.
  • Provide actionable insights into people-related metrics like turnover, absenteeism, and workplace incidents.
  • Collaborate on national P&C projects and contribute to policy development.
  • Manage workplace injuries effectively in partnership with external specialists to minimize lost time.
  • Provide change management support and coordinate specialist services.

Requirements:

  • A degree in HR, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations in a regulated environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build networks and instill trust across teams.
  • Change management training is highly desirable.
  • Membership of AHRI at a CPHR level is preferred.
