Job Overview

The Program Manager - Youth & Families plays a pivotal role in supporting our mission to empower community members to reach their potential. Our organisation is an Aboriginal community-based and driven not-for-profit entity that offers services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, families, children and young people living within the Greater Brisbane, Moreton Bay and South East regions.

This role will be responsible for providing support, guidance and supervision to both the team leader / coordinator group and frontline service staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating operational management of program services
  • Developing integrated working partnerships
  • Ensuring quality service delivery

For success in this position, you will need:

  • Experience in the same or similar role
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and their cultures
  • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with families, children, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, and external sources/agencies

Qualifications and/or equal professional experience in psychology, social work, community services, health, youth work, early childhood are required. A Blue Card or ability to obtain prior to commencement, Drivers Licence, First Aid and CPR (desirable) are also necessary.
