About the Job:

We are seeking experienced operators to join our foundation longwall crews at Centurion. This permanent position will commence with a comprehensive onboarding process before longwall start-up.

  • Operate longwall and associated mining equipment following mine plans and safety standards.
  • Perform longwall mining tasks including shearer operations, shield movement, face inspections, and tailgate operations.
  • Conduct pre-starts, personal risk assessments, and hazard identification activities.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in longwall mining with demonstrated skill operating longwall equipment (shearer, roof supports, AFC, BSL, etc.).
  • Preferably hold current competencies in longwall operations and equipment (e.g. Shearer Operator, Chock Operator).
  • A commitment to maintaining and promoting a safe work environment.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic and flexible attitude.
  • Tickets for underground equipment such as Bolter, Shuttle Car, Loader, and Drift Runner are advantageous.
