Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned Depot Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities at our depot. As the right candidate, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless and efficient operations, fostering a positive work environment, and driving team performance.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse team of drivers, warehouse staff, and operational employees.
  • Oversee the coordination of transport activities, including route planning, dispatch, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and address any concerns efficiently.
  • Collaborate with senior management to improve depot processes and contribute to the development of operational strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A proven track record as a Depot Manager or similar role, managing transport and storage of fresh produce and frozen products.
  • Strong leadership skills, inspiring and motivating a team.
  • Excellent people management skills, with experience in conflict resolution, coaching, and team development.
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics operations, including route planning, vehicle maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Outstanding organisational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with customers, team members, and senior management.
