Job Description:

We seek an experienced Senior Technical Artist to join our art department. This role requires strong collaboration with programmers and artists to create tools and build an efficient graphics pipeline.

  • Develop and maintain character, creature, and object rigs using expertise in rigging principles and software proficiency in Maya.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality rigs that meet project artistic and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure rigs are intuitive, efficient, and easy to animate, troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Define technical directives and share them with the team.
  • Suggest efficient production methods that align with initial guidelines and constraints.
  • Create, maintain, and document tools/scripts dedicated to production needs.
  • Train artists in new production techniques and ensure they are compatible with the game engine.
  • Ensure elements produced are compatible with various target platforms and properly integrated.
  • Monitor technical and artistic processes to ensure superior quality.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Expertise in Unreal Engine Tools.
  • Expertise in 3D Tools: Maya, 3Ds Max, ZBrush, Blender, Substance.
  • Knowledge of Python and dotnet/C#.
  • Experience of device limitations and challenges.
  • Excellent ability to communicate technical terms and information to all stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in 3D Modelling, Texturing, Shading, Lighting, Rendering, Skinning, Rigging, VFX, and Animation.
  • Excellent professional English skills.
