About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at SunRice, a leading food manufacturing company with global presence. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering electrical and automation projects across multiple regions and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design and implementation of electrical and automation projects, prioritizing safety and efficiency improvements.
  2. Act as the company's representative for electrical statutory and government regulations, ensuring all systems align with compliance and safety standards.
  3. Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to select and manage electrical/automation solutions that align with project goals and best practices.
  4. Conduct feasibility studies, prepare project estimates, and manage the tender process to secure optimal outcomes.
  5. Support internal maintenance teams in developing capabilities to manage electrical and control systems autonomously.
  6. Work with the Group HSE team to incorporate safety upgrades and best practices across all projects.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years' experience in electrical engineering and control systems, ideally within a manufacturing or similar setting.
  • Strong experience with PLC systems, including Citect, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and GE.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian Standards for electrical installations and statutory requirements.
  • Proven experience with equipment tendering, commissioning, and electrical integration in brownfield environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to fostering a customer-focused, safety-first culture.
