About the Role

A leading provider of engineering, environment and construction services is seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead their grid-scale renewable energy initiatives.

This exciting opportunity involves advising, reviewing and guiding engineers across grid interconnection and system planning studies for wind, solar, energy storage and hybrid generating systems.

You will partner with clients to support proponents in negotiating performance standards with grid operators and network service providers. Your expertise will be essential in fostering relationships and managing stakeholders during studies and due diligence processes.

As a strategic pursuit leader, you will play a key role in shaping the company's growth and expansion into new markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead grid-scale renewable energy projects connecting into national electricity markets
  • Advise on transmission and distribution planning and connection processes
  • Foster strong client relationships through effective stakeholder management
  • Contribute to strategic pursuits and business development
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience working on grid-scale renewables projects within the Australian network
  • Proven understanding of transmission and distribution planning and connection processes
  • Hands-on experience leading connection processes from concept planning to commissioning
  • Expertise in using PSS/e, PSCAD and Digsilent PowerFactory for system studies
  • Proficient in Python scripting and ETAP
