Job Opportunity at NRMA Parks & Resorts

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at NRMA South West Rocks Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests.

About the Role

This is a casual position requiring a minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunities to work across weekends, evenings, and holiday periods. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and cooking dishes according to company guidelines and customer preferences;
  • Liaising with food service staff and management regarding customers' orders and general service operations;
  • Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils, and implements;
  • Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries, and recording assessments where necessary;
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting all kitchen areas in accordance with daily cleaning schedules.

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or club kitchen;
  • A Certificate in commercial cookery;
  • A working understanding of 'Food Safety' principles and workplace health and safety;
  • Highly effective verbal communication skills;
  • Outstanding customer service skills;
  • A willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to achieving great results.

Estimated Salary Range: AU$50,000 - AU$60,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience and qualifications.
