We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at NRMA South West Rocks Resort. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and customer satisfaction.



The successful candidate will have previous experience in a commercial kitchen, a Certificate in commercial cookery, and a working understanding of food safety principles and workplace health and safety.



As a team player, you will be expected to work collaboratively with our cafe team, management, and other staff to deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a casual position, with a minimum of at least 15 hours per week, across weekends, evenings, and holiday periods.



Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes are according to company guidelines and customer preferences
  • Liaise with food service staff and management regarding customer orders and general service of kitchen operations
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils, and implements
  • Daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries, and recording assessment where necessary
  • Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting all kitchen areas in accordance with daily cleaning

  • Certificate in commercial cookery
