
Financial Services Compliance Specialist

The Compliance team plays a vital role in supporting, guiding, and monitoring first-line compliance matters across the Member Domain.
- We conduct thorough investigations into reported incidents to identify potential regulatory breaches.
- We analyze incident details, gather relevant evidence, and document findings.
- We escalate incidents with potential regulatory breaches or complexity according to required processes.
- We identify patterns and trends in incidents to uncover underlying systemic issues.
- We assist incident owners in developing strategies to address and manage root causes.
- We create training materials and resources to facilitate learning and understanding.
- We regularly review and update compliance documentation to reflect changes in regulations, internal policies, and business operations.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of superannuation and financial advice laws and associated regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional project teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience with incident management systems is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks, particularly in relation to incident management and breach reporting.
- The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- High personal integrity and the ability to professionally manage confidential matters.
- Commercial acumen.
- RG 146 competence with ongoing CPD to support (or willingness to complete).
