Northcott offers a dynamic and supportive environment for Speech Pathologists to develop their clinical skills and build a fulfilling career.

Our multidisciplinary teams provide therapeutic supports in speech pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics, positive behaviour supports, orthotics and customer footwear, sexuality and relationship education as well as therapy training.

As a Speech Pathologist at Northcott, you will have access to regular clinical supervision, graduate coaching by our Clinical and Discipline Leads, and opportunities to attend internal and external professional development.

We are seeking talented and motivated Speech Pathologists to join our team. As a Graduate Speech Pathologist, you will be supported to develop your skills and expertise through our structured New Graduate program.

This program includes:

  • 12-week New Graduate training program, covering multidisciplinary and discipline-specific topics
  • Opportunities to shadow experienced therapists
  • New Graduate peer meetings – connect with current and former new graduates
  • Weekly clinical supervision
  • Reduced billable hours as you build your caseload and develop your clinical skills

You will work closely with our customers, their families and other health professionals to deliver timely and evidence-based interventions.

Our Speech Pathologists work across the lifespan, from pre-schoolers to adults, providing intervention in various locations, including clinics, schools/preschools, in-home, group homes, via telehealth or at day programs.

What we're looking for in a Speech Pathologist
  • Genuine interest and commitment to the human services industry
  • An understanding of NDIS (desirable)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload in an efficient and effective manner
  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • Registration with SPA
  • Experience working with children, young people and adults with disability
  • An understanding of assessments and interventions within the scope of your practice
  • Current driver's licence and willingness to drive within the region
  • WWCC & NDIS worker check
  • Current first aid and CPR certification
