Primary Health Care Specialist

We seek a dedicated health professional to deliver high-quality primary care services to Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley region.
The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective health strategies, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation. This role involves travel to remote communities and active participation in local health initiatives.
We are committed to providing culturally safe and respectful care to our patients, and we require our healthcare professionals to possess strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of Aboriginal culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive primary health care services at remote clinic sites and headspace Broome, including emergency care and telehealth clinics.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to the improvement of clinical practises.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Participate in community health programs and contribute to clinical leadership within the organisation.
- Current registration with no conditions.
- Fellowship with a reputable medical college or Australian equivalent.
- Experience in managing emergencies in remote settings and strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Aboriginal culture and effective communication skills with Aboriginal people.
