About the Opportunity:

  • The role of Lead Tenant Team Leader is a key position within our team, responsible for providing residential care and support services to young people with high and complex needs.

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill this challenging role, who has a strong background in youth welfare practice, crisis intervention and behaviour management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Liaising with case management services to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people placed in Lead Tenant arrangements
  • Recruiting, assessing, supporting and monitoring Lead Tenants to provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively manage their roles
  • Supervising Lead Tenants and working closely with Case Managers to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • Coordinating service provision across various departments and external organisations to meet the needs of young people and families
  • Oversight of property maintenance and contributing to the development of best practices in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) within the organisation

This is a part-time fixed-term opportunity, with a 12-month contract and 22.8 hours per week.

Key Selection Criteria:
  • A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field
