We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused individual to fill the role of SPECIMEN COLLECTION SPECIALIST.

About the Position:

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who thrives on precision, patient care, and being part of a professional team.

As a Specimen Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for undertaking specimen collection from patients, including venepuncture and paediatric sampling, ensuring quality and accuracy in every interaction.

  • You will work independently and within a team environment to ensure specimens are collected, labelled, transported, and processed in line with clinical protocols and safety procedures.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need relevant experience in specimen collection or within a pathology laboratory setting.

  • A strong background in customer service and communication skills is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer and data entry skills is also required.
  • In addition, a Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Clearance (NPC), Class C Driver's Licence, and subject to immunisation requirements are necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collect and process biological specimens from patients.
  2. Maintain accurate records and reports of specimen collection.
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
