Position: Pathology Specimen Collector (Please note that this is NOT a Courier Driver position)
Location: Coffs Harbour, NSW
Employment Type: Part-time - Hours are 07.00-17.00, with participation in the Saturday roster.
Key Responsibilities- Collect biological specimens (blood, urine, etc.) from patients in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensure all samples are labelled and processed according to established protocols.
- Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the collection area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
We greatly value candidates with customer service experience who will make patient care their number one priority. Other desirable skills and attributes you would have include:
- Previous experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors and /or a Certificate III in Pathology Specimen Collection
- The confidence to work independently, sometimes in solo collection centres
- Efficient time management and problem-solving skills
- A willingness to learn new things and enjoy variety within their role
- A First Aid Certificate
Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.
