About the RoleThis role is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in providing support to students and contributing to their educational success. As a Youth Support Specialist, you will play a crucial part in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to students across various year levels to facilitate their participation in class and engagement in learning activities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies that promote student well-being and academic achievement.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A strong understanding of youth work principles and practices, particularly in an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
- Experience working with students who have complex needs, and a demonstrated ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current practices in youth work and education, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
