We are currently seeking a Site Infrastructure Specialist to support our Riverina Redevelopment project. This role will be part of a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors, undertaking major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities across the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka), and RAAF Base Wagga.

The successful candidate will have a broad range of responsibilities, including assisting the Project Engineer/Project Manager in all stages of projects, providing engineering expertise, managing contracting operations, and coordinating work activities over various locations through the Riverina region.

  • Support the Project Engineer/Project Manager in preconstruction, construction, and post-construction stages
  • Provide engineering expertise in design, fabrication, and construction to ensure successful project delivery
  • Manage contracting operations for allocated projects against agreed objectives
  • Undertake scoping investigations for scopes of work
  • Compile site documentation prior to commencing works
  • Coordinate and supervise work activities of multiple crews across various locations
  • Monitor and control expenditure on jobs to ensure cost-effective completion

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Australian Citizenship preferred for Defence site entry requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree or similar qualification
  • Graduate Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ)
  • Previous experience as a site engineer or graduate engineer in a related industry sector
  • Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment
