We currently have opportunities for a Site Engineers to join our team. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.

We are seeking candidates to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga.

These roles will commence from late January 2025.

Responsibilities

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

  • Assist the Project Engineer (PE) / Project Manager (PM) in the preconstruction, construction, and post construction stages of projects.
  • Provide engineering expertise in the design, fabrication and construction of the project to ensure successful project delivery in accordance with clients' expectations and safety, quality, time and cost objectives.
  • Managing the contracting operations for various allocated projects against agreed objectives.
  • Undertake scoping investigations for scopes of work.
  • Preparation and compilation of site documentation prior to the commencement of works.
  • Coordination and supervision of work activities of multiple crews over various work locations through the Riverina region.
  • Monitor and control expenditure on jobs to ensure the cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Review HOTO documentation, e.g. Interpretation and application of drawings, ITP's and images recorded for each project.
Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Australian Citizenship preferred for Defence site entry requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree, or similar.
  • Graduate Member of Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust) or Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ)
  • Previous experience as a site engineer or graduate engineer in a related industry sector.
  • Intermediate / Advanced Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment.
