The Customer Advisory Cloud Architect works closely with SAP's Sales organisation and the Partner ecosystem to define the account strategy.

They bridge the gap between the customer's business strategy and relevant solutions through crafting the to-be business and solution architectures and designing a transformation roadmap at the enterprise level to facilitate the customer's adoption of cloud-based architectures.

This role requires a trusted advisor to guide the customer towards their desired to-be SAP-based Enterprise Architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the assessment of customer strategy and current solution usage from SAP to develop potential areas of opportunity for solution adoption & consumption, including SAP Business Suite footprint expansion.
  • Engage with customers to support sales cycles throughout the Customer Value Journey as an integral member of the SAP account team.
  • Drive business and IT architecture definitions to ensure consistency, cooperation, and alignment with SAP organisations, the customer, and partners.
  • Provide a linkage from the customer to SAP product development leadership as required.

Crafting an SAP Cloud Vision

  • Support building customer demand through appropriate thought leadership and innovation positioning of the full SAP Business Suite.
  • Understand the customer's business process map and business model with industry reference and an architecture focus.
  • Understand the customer's current enterprise landscape and anticipate future needs.
  • Drive the positioning of standard cloud architectures (plug & play) leveraging cloud solutions.

Delivering Architecture Outcomes

  • Drive the creation of business architecture outputs from capability mapping through to solution definition.
  • Ensure IT feasibility of the business capabilities mapping to SAP solution architecture.

Being a Trusted Cloud Advisor

  • Align living roadmap with current adoption/solution consumption.
  • Support living roadmap governance & adaptation based on the evolution of customer needs and SAP solutions.
  • Drive solution expansion by highlighting value & linkages to the broader SAP Portfolio.

You should have significant experience with software/IT organisations as an IT Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Advisor and/or specific expertise with software solutions through Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting or Business Development, demonstrating successful outcomes over multiple years.

You should be able to represent SAP as the trusted advisor within SAP and/or the market.

You should have deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models and Cloud-based commerce/business networks.

You should have proven professional networks in the Western Australia market to drive pipeline and revenue growth for SAP.

You should have a proven track record of success in the Energy & Natural Resources Industry area.

You should be able to lead through influence and consultative selling experience.

You should have proven experience of driving tangible outcomes in Enterprise Architecture for customers.

Fluency in English; any other language is an asset.
