Job Title: Architectural Strategist

Role Overview

As an Architectural Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape by aligning IT strategy with business objectives. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture frameworks that support strategic business goals.

This key role involves working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement architectural strategies that drive business growth and innovation. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions that align with our overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Architecture Framework Development: Develop and implement enterprise-wide architecture frameworks that support strategic business goals.
  • Architecture Principles and Standards: Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, and roadmaps to guide IT investment and design decisions.
  • Portfolio Prioritization and Assessment: Partner with the PMO and senior leadership to prioritise and assess the technology portfolio across the Group.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the Group.
  • Executive Leadership Education: Educate and influence executive leadership on IT strategy and enterprise architecture value.
  • Team Coaching and Mentoring: Coach and mentor team members to elevate strategic IT capabilities across the organisation.
  • Technology Innovation: Drive innovation by investigating new and emerging technologies aligned to the Group's business needs.
Requirements
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Have relevant experience in Enterprise Architecture roles, with exposure to diverse technologies and environments.
  • Possess strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman) and experience delivering related artefacts.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Be adaptable, collaborative, and confident working across cross-functional teams.
  • Have a strong understanding of business process re-engineering, financial models, and strategic planning.
