About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Department Manager to join our team at IKEA. As a Sales Department Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, optimizing profitability, and leading a team of sales professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Optimize sales and profitability by taking ownership of the range and actively promoting IKEA commercial priorities and volume commitments.
  • Act quickly on commercial opportunities and customer feedback, as well as keeping an active eye on competition, supply, and performance analysis.
  • Ensure the shop is in excellent shape and fully stocked at all times so that customers can make a buying decision on their own.
  • Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues while providing an inspiring and motivating direction for co-workers and engaging them fully in the IKEA objectives.
  • Support your manager in managing the recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning, and competence development of the team.
  • Ensure co-workers are actively supported in their daily work and you actively develop, coach, and mentor your team through set reviews and on-the-job conversations.
Requirements
  • Possess a passion for home furnishing, love sales, and have a desire to lead and motivate your own team within a leading retailer.
  • Be business-minded and result-driven with a strong customer focus.
  • Have experience as a leader who has managed and led in a retail store or a large home furnishing business with demonstrated success in driving sales growth.
  • Be an energetic and inspirational leader who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly changing omnichannel retail environment.
  • Able to influence and communicate effectively with stakeholders and can identify opportunities for growth and create customer-centric solutions.

Additional Information:

This role is Permanent, Full-time 76hrs/fortnight. The internal job title for this role is Shopkeeper. The shift times required to work will be spread between 08:00am to 10:00pm. As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day, evening, and alternating fortnightly weekend shifts.
