About The Role
The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Violence Support Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 12 months.
This role provides intensive support to women and children who are experiencing or have experienced family violence. As a specialist in this field, you will use your strong understanding of the gendered and complex nature of family violence to assess clients' risk and safety while addressing other support needs identified with them.
To be successful in this role, you will require degree qualifications in social work, welfare, or psychology. You must have demonstrated experience in assessment and risk management, crisis intervention, case management, and delivery of therapeutic interventions.
You will thrive in a dynamic, team environment, working collaboratively with colleagues while also operating autonomously when needed. Your values-driven approach and commitment to making a difference will be evident in everything you do.
