Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Merchandise Manager to lead our Merchandise Strategy, Buying, and Visual Merchandise execution for all B&M stores across the ANZ region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Merchandise Strategy: Curate assortment plans and brand layouts for all stores inline with Merchandise Strategic Objectives.
  • Visual Merchandise Execution: Manage a visual merchandise in-store team, identifying and actioning merchandising opportunities to increase sales.
  • Team Leadership: Leading a team of Visual Merchandisers through training and development.
  • Collection Launches: Overseeing and implementing regular collection launches across multiple sites with the opportunity of interstate travel.
  • Supplier Management: Connect with suppliers to ensure point of sale execution and collection launches are met.
  • Assortment Planning: Manage overall assortment and planograms for all stores ensuring the correct mix of vertical and third-party brands align with strategic plans.
  • Inventory Management: Work alongside Allocation to ensure all assortments and plans are achieved and optimised.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work alongside Marketers & Planning to plan out seasonal marketing campaigns, content, and promotions.
  • Inventory Analysis: Monitor aged inventory in store and highlight to planning poor-performing styles for clearance to exit. Coordinate seasonal send-backs for distressed styles or aged inventory back to stores.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, consumer preferences, sell-through, seasonal demands to formulate a buying practice in line with company objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with all Heads of Departments within the Merchandise Team to achieve organisational outputs regarding timelines, completion dates, and assisting in analysing data to create compelling fashion ranges for our CK customer.
  • Continuous Improvement: Constantly provide feedback to merchandise and planning to ensure we are optimising inventory and assortment in store.

Requirements:

  • Relationship Building: Ability to develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Market Understanding: Exceptional understanding of the fast-fashion market, with an ability to interpret trends and build ranges to ensure brand cohesion and variety.
  • Communication Skills: High level of written and oral communication & negotiation skills.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient computer literacy skills Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Data Analysis: Strong ability to analyse and review data.
