Senior Research Associate in Carbon Science

The University of New South Wales (UNSW) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate in Carbon Science to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in carbon science and innovation.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in carbon science and innovation, with a focus on developing new carbon catalysts for renewable energy generation and clean chemical production. The role will involve working closely with our team of researchers and academics to achieve our research goals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in carbon science and innovation, with a focus on developing new carbon catalysts
- Collaborate with our team of researchers and academics to achieve our research goals
- Develop and implement new research methods and techniques
- Present research findings at conferences and workshops
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and funding applications
- PhD in a related discipline, such as physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, or materials science
- Proven track record of research excellence and a strong publication record
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant training

The successful candidate will be offered a fixed-term contract for one year, with the possibility of extension. The salary will be $123,620 per annum, plus 17% superannuation.
