Job Title: Solutions Engineer

Cisco is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Engineer to join our team in Canberra. As a Solutions Engineer, you will play a critical role in assisting our Sales team with technical sales activities for Public Sector Defence customers in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present end-to-end Cisco networking solutions to customers and partners.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, answer technical questions, and contribute to proposals in a pre-sales environment.
  • Work on strategic sales initiatives to grow business in targeted regions.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with audiences at all levels.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales technical role, such as solutions architect, systems engineer, or sales engineer.
  • Proven mastery and experience in IP routing, switching, and WiFi.
  • Solid awareness and experience working with cloud services (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS).
  • Prior experience in network programming using APIs (through Python, etc.).
  • Excellent relationship building skills, resourcefulness, resilience, and presentation skills.
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance through AGSVA.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding and experience in SD-WAN, Cyber Security, and IoT.
  • Knowledge of the sales cycle (MEDDPICC) and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
  • CCIE certification is strongly preferred.
