Position Overview:

This is a Permanent Part-Time position offering 32 hours per fortnight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and plate meals, serve, and clear dining areas according to food preparation schedules.
  • Ensure food preparation and serving areas meet hygiene standards.
  • Engage with residents in a manner consistent with organizational values.
  • Respect resident lifestyles and personal preferences.
  • Foster effective interpersonal relationships with colleagues.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Genuine passion for food preparation.
  • Certificate in cooking or food preparation.
  • Previous experience in kitchen or food preparation within the aged care sector.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 and current flu vaccination policies.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment forms and reference checks.
