Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Years Support Assistant to join our team at Perth & Kinross Council. As an Early Years Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with additional support needs to access learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to provide individualized support to children and young people with additional support needs.
  • Assist children and young people in accessing learning under the direction of other members of the team.
  • Support positive behavior management programs and individual support plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement support plans.

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in the development of children and their wellbeing.
  • Kindness, empathy, patience, and an ability to engage with children and young people.
  • Confidentiality in relation to children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience (paid/voluntary) of supporting children and young people with additional support needs.
