Bus Maintenance Specialist Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Repair, service and maintain buses to meet regulatory standards.
  • Conduct road tests as required.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns on and off-site.
  • Identify and repair vehicle defects.
Requirements:
  • Certification in Motor Mechanic trade (NSW MVTC) is essential.
  • TAFE Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology is desirable.
  • A current HR driver's license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy for accurate maintenance record-keeping.
  • Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants.
  • Experience with scan tools is desirable.
  • Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations is desirable.
