Job Title

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Contractor Coordinator.

This is a permanent, drive-in drive out position working Monday to Friday on a family-friendly roster. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and provide expert advice and assistance to both the operational area and individual contractor teams.

About the Role

  • Facilitate and remove any barriers that prevent delays.
  • Mentor and support role to those involved in the engagement and management of contractors, providing a common point of contact for contractors working within the area.
  • Build strong relationships between contractor coordinators and operational areas.
  • Ensure open and honest communication continues and issues and decisions can be identified and made in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Remove obstacles preventing delays.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies for engaging and managing contractors.
  3. Establish and maintain positive relationships with contractors and operational staff.
  4. Identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field or similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of process operations and maintenance activities pertaining to process plants or mine sites.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring individuals and developing teams to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Excellent environmental, health and safety leadership, with an absolute commitment to maintaining a strong health and safety culture.
  • Strong communication, influence, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage teams.
  • The ability to make decisions, multitask and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability in effective forecasting and budgeting knowledge.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work in pressured situations.
  • Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or related discipline.
  • Diploma of project management or similar would be advantageous.
