Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

As a Project Engineer at Lycopodium, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in planning, designing, evaluating, executing, and handing over assigned projects. Your role will involve:

  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables meets client, company, and project requirements
  • FOLLOWING PROJECT SPECIFIC AND COMPANY PROCEDURES TO WORK EFFICIENTLY AND MAINTAIN A CONSISTENT APPROACH AND HIGH STANDARD OF WORK
  • Assisting with procurement, inspection, and expediting activities
  • CARRYING OUT ASSIGNED PROJECT ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING SITE ENGINEER DUTIES, IN A MANNER THAT PRIORITIZES SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT, COMMUNITY, AND QUALITY
  • Maintaining project schedules and budgets, including change management
  • UNDERTAKING INVESTIGATION AND PREPARING REPORTS AS DIRECTED BY THE PROJECT MANAGER
  • Participating in project quality management, including carrying out inspections at vendor's premises and reviewing vendor quality documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A mechanical or chemical engineering qualification or equivalent
  • At least 5 years postgraduate engineering experience in the heavy Industrial, chemical, energy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or manufacturing sectors
  • PMBOK or equivalent project management qualification (favourable)
  • The ability to influence stakeholders both written and verbally across different cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development
  • The ability to travel as part of project requirements, including being based on national and international sites from time to time
