Job Title: Permit to Work Coordinator

This role is a key position in our organization, requiring a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead the implementation of a permit to work (PTW) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the PTW process to ensure safe and compliant execution of high-risk activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement PTW policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
  • Coordinate and monitor the PTW process to ensure timely issuance and tracking of permits.
  • Review and analyze data on PTW activity to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead change management initiatives to embed the PTW system into daily operations.
  • Provide coaching and training to employees and contractors on PTW compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, planning, and WHS teams to integrate permits into shutdowns and scheduled work.
  • Ensure record-keeping and compliance align with legislative and industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying gaps and recommending improvements to the PTW system.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or industry with strong technical knowledge of PTW systems.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills to influence at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze data and implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
